Bookmarks

Good Morning!!
Like many of you I have been hoarding even the smallest piece of card stock & pattern paper scraps forever. Before things get out of hand I decided to use some of these & made lots of bookmarks.

The next lot in my fav combo black & white are my absolute favorites!

Did you notice I have even used the mod podge melts embellishments & some die cuts covered with UTEE!

This is a fun way to use all the scraps, die cuts, stickers & embellishments. Well I know I went a little over board decorating the bookmarks, but who cares, don't they look pretty! These will make such pretty gifts.

Calendar - 2014

A very Good Morning to all!!
Today I am sharing the calendar I made for round 4 of the Friendship Swap by Riti. This swap required us to following a Lawn Fawn tutorial here for the base.

This is the front flap of the one I made -

Used a lot of pattern papers, distress inks, embellies to make the pages for each month. Basically I have four different layouts (January, May, September are the same & so on..........).
All the pages were stamped with a coordinating pattern & embossed in clear embossing powder. To get the resist look I then distressed over the embossed images.
Inserted a doily (painted with distress paint & edges inked with distress ink) on one side between the card stock layer & the design paper.

The emboss resist pattern is clearly seen here (unlike the above pages :-(.................wish I had pics of all the months to show).

The fence die cut is embossed with red embossing glitter powder & the birdie painted in black distress paint & layered with distress crackle paint (clear) to add some dimension.

Creative Colors Challenge #1

Its time for the first challenge by Creative Colors hosted by adorable Archana. This is a new bimonthly cards only challenge & am sure you will love it. Please visit the challenge blog for details & rules. This is a color challenge & this time color palette is -

Well, pretty isn't it?

Here is my inspiration - a box card. The image is a digi by Sherri Baldy, our sponsor for this month

This is my first attempt using a digi & coloring with distress inks too (spun sugar, picked rasberry, salty ocean, black soot, vintage photo, walnut stain, mowed lawn)

The front of the card is a band held together with a velcro dot & hold a box -

This is the inside of the box. The base is a white card stock stamped & heated embossed in white & then distressed all over with spun sugar, worn lipstick & salty ocean). The colors & design co-ordinated perfectly with the pattern paper I used. The sentiment (Technique Tuesday - Incredible) too is heat embossed.

Hidden behind the brad is a velcro dot to close the flap of this box.
